The blade is crafted from 51CrV4 High Carbon Spring Steel which is well tempered to a 49-51 HRc hardness. Despite thick blunt edges for safety and edge durability, the sword is lively and light in the hand and a back rolled tip further increase tip sparring safety. The guard and pommel are heat treated steel and the wooden grip is bound in tight cord for a solid grip.
