LK Chen has released a sparring Cup-Hilt Spanish Rapier that was based on the popular LK Chen Tizona rapier and its intended for HEMA practitioners who desire a sparring rapier that has the smooth and easy handling of a sharp rapier, but with blunt edges and a rolled tip for sparring safety. The blade is well tempered spring steel that is tempered to flex to great ability upon impact in the thrust. The solid cup gives maximized protection for the hand and the centerline knucklebar allows for the sword to be equally of use to a right or left handed swordsman. The hilt is crafted from stainless steel and the wooden grip is bound in stitched faux leather. Included with the rapier is a sheath of stitched faux leather.
